Running At Sunrise

Went running this morning for training. I’m trying this new thing where I train in the morning and have my evenings off to work on some personal projects etc. Getting up before dawn and warming up and going for a run is actually pretty bad-ass, somehow, I’m not sure why thought. I also seem to have a little bit more energy to run despite I’m still partially asleep. I <3 it though!
I ran 5k in 22;11 which I am pretty disappointed in myself for. I was aiming for under 20min. But I still have time for training, and I am hoping the more I am up and training in the morning the more I will not be still 1/2 asleep when starting training and when I run the marathon in Seattle which starts at 8;10am I believe - I am not a morning person.
What are your personal bests for 5km? or 3.125mi?
