Mental and physical break from running for at least 8 days. And that’s only because it is going to be cold and rainy in Boston this weekend. So, after a weekend (10/10 - 10/11) of 26.2 miles, I’m actually going to trick my body into breaking an addiction from running. I figure by Saturday morning I’ll have decreased my standard amount of endorphins to such a point that I’ll wake up in a cold sweat, really, really wanting to run. So come Monday, when I’m hallucinating and getting chased by giant Nike sneakers, I’ll know I’m ready for a run. This will also be a mental and physical break before I maintain a consistent schedule of running 3 - 4 times a week, 2 - 3 days at gym, and 1 day of rest for the next 6 months. I guess there are worse addictions. Anyways, interesting article about a study at Tufts, really confirming a theory that running is a real addiction. Next time just study real runners.
hahaha being chased by giant shoes, priceless.
